Circuit designs by Forrest Mims III (Download here)
All can be built on a breadboard with commonly available components
- Dual LED flasher: Uses transistors, capacitors, and resistors in a circuit that flashes 2 LEDs contnuously
- 3-state tone generator: uses a 556 timer, switches, and an 8 ohm speaker
- Toy Organ Circuit: uses 1 555 timer chip and pushbuttons switches to create a variety of tones
- Sound Effects generator: Uses 2 555 timer chips to create warble effects
- Chirp Generator: uses a 556 timer, a transistor and a piezo buzzer
